Hi I'm Sharon!

I'm probably best described as a life enthusiast as it underpins all the work that I do.

What would be the meaning of life if you can't enjoy it to the fullest?

About Sharon

Sharon is a London-trained physiotherapist, and certified Yoga & Pilates teacher with a keen interest in mindful movement and intentional living to help us move and feel better so we can live life to the fullest. She also trained to be an acupuncturist and hydrotherapist with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Born in Malaysia, she also lived in Korea, Scotland, and London before finally deciding to make Scotland her home.

She advocates a system-oriented approach as she realized where we often fall is when we do not have the right systems in place to help us make sustainable change towards our goals.

Goals help to set our direction, but it is the systems we put in place that will get us there.

She shares about breathwork, mindful movement, and intentional living with a combination of playfulness and precision as we explore what works best for us on this joyful yet often messy and unpredictable journey of being human. There is no perfect path to wellness so it’s important to have fun on the way!

My Story

My journey started with my own personal health challenges that unbeknownst to me at the time were related to hypermobility. I found myself with symptoms of pain, fatigue, anxiety, weight gain, brain fog, muscle and joint aches, insomnia, and generally not feeling my best despite medical intervention. And I thought this was something I would have to simply live with.

In 2012, I discovered yoga and this was the catalyst that helped me change my life. I learned to slow down and connect with myself, and in so doing I started to notice the links between my physical environment, how I exercised, relationships, energy levels, and anxiety.

I became immersed in the idea of finding ease, being intentional with who and what I allow into my life, and creating space for the things that truly mattered to me.

And I found more joy and freedom.

  • Instead of exercising harder and pushing my body, I learned to move mindfully, to honor what my body needs, and reduce hidden stressors I wasn’t aware of.
  • Instead of overextending myself I learned to set better boundaries and started doing less, but with more intention.
  • Instead of feeling overwhelmed by an endless to-do list, I achieved more in less time, by cutting out the unnecessary.
  • Instead of living in a state of organized chaos, I primed my environment for the healthier vision of me I wanted to be.

I started to see shifts happen.

For the first time, I was able to effectively manage my weight, feel well within myself, and have the energy to do all the things I love.

More importantly, I was able to show up as the best version of myself for the people around me and my loved ones.

This led me to where I am today - through the lens of intentional living and self-care, I enjoy sharing mind-body habits, movement tips, and lifestyle tools that took me years to learn to help people move and feel better so they can do the things they love and create the life they want. Because your health is the foundation for everything you do in life, and without it you will struggle to achieve your goals and dreams.

Straight-talkin' and no sugar-coating, I’m a big believer in cutting out the "meh" to make room for the very best. And at its core, that is what intentional living is. We reclaim our power when we take steps to design our life to make room for the people, places, and things that truly matter to us in a way that honors our mind-body connection which contributes so much to our focus and energy. Thus trading a life by default with a life filled with more joy, freedom, and fulfillment. I share my perspective on what has worked for me and my ongoing exploration of what else I can optimize in my life with the hope it might spark ideas that add value to your journey.

There is no right or wrong way, it’s about finding what works for you.

Thank you for being here.
